Our mission is to provide education for underprivileged youth with extreme financial hardship in Uganda in furthering their education endeavors. We will also support single mothers to operate their own businesses to support their families and provide shelters for families.
With the increase of poverty in Uganda, single parents, especially women, struggle to make ends meet. Many times, you’ll find women struggling in Uganda because the men tend to abandon their families, leaving the women struggling to support themselves and their children. To make matters worse some girls are forced into child marriage. The same poverty cycle continues. They are forced to provide for their children’s basic needs with very little.
Providing them with basic needs is a very important start teaching them useful skills that will be a good path towards fighting poverty.
At the age of two, my six siblings and I moved to a refugee camp in Uganda. In that camp, I had to fight for the life I wanted. My only potential worth was the dowry, a much older man, would pay to marry me as a pre-teen. Repeatedly, friends were taken from the camp and forced to marry a stranger, having his children, and essentially serving as his slave. Typically, the marriages don’t last long, and soon she returns to parents with her children, a ruined reputation, no options for her future.
I was one of the lucky ones. I was given an opportunity, to have a different future, when I came to the United States. But, those girls are always in my heart and on my mind. For my friends and countless young women in Uganda who don’t have someone valuing their worth, I’ve created this program for you. Having someone who believed in my potential and value gave me an incredible life where I determine my future. I’ve created unDEfeated to do the same for them.
We believe education is the key to success. Providing education for underprivileged youth with extreme financial hardship in Uganda in furthering their education endeavors. We will also support single mothers to operate their businesses to support their families and use these educational resources to help their community progress. I want to help Uganda since it is a poor country with an emerging economy with significant educational disparity between men and women.

Ways to contribute is to make a donation to a youth education program that will enhance their knowledge and prepare them to be tomorrow’s leaders. Also donating to entrepreneurship that allows youth to create and own businesses of their own. But also advancing Uganda’s economy regarding employment.
